Service Advice... PLEASE!
Hey guys.
I have an 07 TSX w/ Navi. Anyway's, I just hit 9,600 miles and my Service Due warning popped up on the MID. It says "B1" service due. I called Acura, and they want $190 for this. Is it worth doing this when I only have 9,600 miles on the car? How often does the "B" service pop up? What do you all suggest? I would really appreciate your suggestions.
Thanks much,
Jeff

According to the service writer that I spoke to, the "B" services are maintenance things (fluid changes, brake inspections, etc). The "A" services are oil changes and tire rotations. This is my first Acura, so I don't know much about their services, but this seemed pretty steep for so few miles. If anyone could clarify the difference between the different "B" services and "A" services, that would be great.

Happened to be looking for something in my manual and saw this:
A Service: Replace engine oil
B Service: Replace engine oil and filter, inspect front and rear brakes, check parking brake adjustment, Inspect: tie rod ends, steering gearbox & boots; suspension components; driveshaft boots; brake hoses and line (including ABS); all fluid levels and condition of fluids; exhaust system; fuel lines and connections
The "Maintenance Sub Items" have numbers:
1: rotate tires
2: air cleaner/pollen filter
3: transmission fluid
4: spark plugs/valve clearance
5: engine coolant
Doesn't seem to clear everything up for me as "A1" is apparently an oil change, but those are the items from the manual. (I've only had mine a month, and haven't even hit the break-in period yet...)

Let me help you!
I think you can probably do the B service yourself...from the description above, it's just an inspection.
A service is oil change, A1 is oil change, oil filter change, and tire rotation.
