Seattle, WA prospective buyers
I have been talking to dealers in the Seattle Area for a couple of weeks now for TSX'05.
Let me share the quotes I received.
These are base prices.(without tax, regi and documentation charges) for Non Navi/ AT
Acura of Bellevue - 26,600
Acura of Lynnwood - 26,300*
Acura of Seattle - 27,500
Acura of Lynwood changed there price from 26.3K to 29K when I offered to close the deal.
Buyers in Seattle area, please share your experiences and plz give suggestions if any.

I am thinking of buying from Bellevue. So 26,300 is lowest you could get from Lynnwood and other wont go any further? Seeing that, Acura of Seattle could do a little better.. Im hoping to get a Navi unit and wait until 30th. I think I could do 28k flat. Is dealer throwing in anything for free?

thnx for your reply n3ok318.
I have not reached that stage in talk with them to ask for anything free.
I do not have a car right now, and they know it. (This might explain the prices on the higher side)
When you say 28K flat, you mean with Tax and Licenc and that also a Navi ??

but like I posted, if you guys are planning to buy one end of this year, we should make a WA state group buy with smitty(?)'s permission! That way we could get like a half grand off

That definately helps jojo, thanks.
n3ok318 I completely agree with you about the group buy. However, how many of us are there in Seattle area who plan to buy a TSX by year end?
Let's compile a list.

If you would drop me an email then we can discuss the quotes offered by local dealers etc. and eliminate duplicate efforts. Even buying 2 cars together can get us a better deal
Thnx.

About Orgon
Acura Of Salem - 26.9K* (with a compulsary protection package)
Ron Tonkin Acura - 27K
Hinshaw's Acura - 26.9k
something Similar from Acura of Portland.
This is what these dealers told me over the phone, without much haggling.
Again Acura of Salem offered 26.4K, when I asked to close the deal, he told let me talk to my manager and then he came up with 26.9K figure.
Guys, I would appreciate if you let me know your quotes also.
Together we can and we will

Who did you talk to at Acura of Lynnwood? Did you talk to the sales people or go through the Internet sales group?
As for not having a car, the TSX is my first car as well. And I bought my from Lynnwood ($26,200 - 1/2004).
Also, did you leave a number you could be reached at? If so, while annoying, they'll try harder to close a deal with you - you just have to keep playing the uninteresting type. Say you're thinking of going for the hybrid Accord or something.
It's starting to be a somewhat interesting time to buy a car, because, from what I've heard, salespeople are trying to bump up the annual sales counts.

I talked to Dave and Anuj.
Those were Sales people.
Yes, I left a number I can be reached at.

I was talking to a guy at Lynnwood Acura named Minh Dang. Almost bought my car from him but ended up waiting for CG/Q at Kendall Acura in Eugene. Worked with Chuck Spresser. I'd recommend either of these guys.

I second Minh Dang. He was the Internet Sales Manager when I bought my car.
The Internet sales person I dealt with doesn't work there any more, oh well.
kangjin: I almost did the same thing, waiting for a CG/QZ, but they had the CG/EN, so I just bought that instead.

Smitty approved...
If they want to try and get a deal on all buying cars at the same time, let them go..
I highly doubt 5,10,20 will all go into a dealership at the same time together with money in hand to purchase a car together..

C'mon let's have this thread alive.
So we have 4 dealerships
Bellevue, Seattle, Tacoma, Lynnwood
What I was originally planning to do was to follow the steps shown in FAQ.
Wait til 3rd week of December, then get quotes, work with lowest or potential ones.
I'm wondering.. are you morpheus and rushi planning to buy by this year?
If so, we can stick together and fight! I was hoping to get a navi one for 28k flat. But if all three of us buy at once, I might have a luck buying half-grand less

I'm definitely up for it. I'm moving to Redmond in the third week of December. I'll be free during that week to go with you to the dealers. I start work in the forth week of December. I have a quote for 26.6K without navi. If that goes down to 26K and I get wheel locks, all-weather mats and trunk tray thrown in for free I'll be a very happy guy.

haha I see. I figured, if you could just buy those on ebay (oem ones) and just try to make the price go lower, it'd be better. Just my thoughts. Because you can find them for a little more than half price there. So why not work on price more =)
btw, where you moving from?

Sorry for being late to reply . Was caught up in some work.
I have talking to different dealers mostly on phone.
Even after lot of haggling they are not reducing the price below 29.3K out of door. Non - navi.
I propose this plan.
Each one of us talks to these 4 dealers independently.
Try to reduce the price as much as he/she can.
We get the lowest quote of that heard by
morpheus, n3ok318, rushi .
And then one fine day, we go that dealer and reveal that ok, I buy 3 cars, give me some $500 dollars off.
Please feel free to comment/suggest.

Is that 29.3 including tax and registration? My best deal so far is 26.6 for non-navi which would go up to 29.2 with tax and registration. I think bringing it down to 26K flat would mean 28.5K which would be a neat deal.
If I don't get this, I'll be more than glad to get 90 more horses on a Subaru Legacy GT :-)

I'll keep you posted of the new figures I hear from the dealers.
Please keep this thread alive by putting the quotes you hear.
