seat belt anchor points?
I just noticed today that the seat belt on the drivers' side is anchored to the floor, whereas on the passenger side, it's mounted to the seat.
I'd think that mounting to the seat allows the belt to position itself better relative to the position of the seat, but that floor mounting may be more secure, but why use both in the same car? Is the driver's safety a higher priority, since there's always a driver in the car, and only sometimes a passenger? Is the passenger's comfort more important, since the driver is focused more on the drive while the passenger has nothing other than his own comfort to keep him occupied?
