Last night... he was parked outside his girlfriends and goes back to his car to find it SMASHED and a police report on his car. Guess someone nailed his car from the back hard and he went into the car in front of his. BUt i guess this time is worse since hes saying it looks totaled.

He will have pics up shortly, hes getting them developed and then scanned.

Total bad luck with this car.

1 - Why, didn't like the TSX.
2 - He can suddenly afford one again?

Wait, is Jen going?

If he ends up in the same car and has to pay more than what he sold it for.

She is in fact going.

I have a feeling he will buy a 2003 or so 325i instead. He likes having a sedan. Why do i feel like his spokesperson.

This really sucks. Not even 45 days of owning the car, and here we are. The bad thing is that none of this has been my fault, the first or the second one.

This one is pretty bad though. I highly doubt that this is repairable under the cost of the current value of the car. I really like my TSX too.

But it might be?

And if it is repaired do you still want it after all these repairs.

Sorry to hear about your bad luck.

Thanks for the kind words guys, I appreciate it...

Update: I did some research from precinct to precinct tonight and also visited the restaurant near where my car was parked. I was able to help the police patch together two accident reports to nab the guy on this incident. Basically, a few people at the restaurant were able to get his plate down, called the cops and they were able to get limited information (just as they did from my plates). I then went to another precinct and low and behold, he crashed again into another car around 3200 Ashland. The information on that police report matched mine for plate information, however, in that accident, the car wasn’t drivable and he obviously injured himself and had to be taken to the hospital. Therefore, I now have all the information I need to submit to the insurance and the police can related the two cases together. I have a new police report with all the info I need, so for that at least, I am happy.

As far as the car goes, I’m worried about what could be wrong with it mechanically. It was pushed 5 or 6 feet in park up on the curb into another car. I’m at least glad that it wasn’t a hit and run though.

Well, mechanically, I would be pretty concerned about the transmission and drivetrain, but the engine should be fine. In terms of damage, I would guess that frame damage is almost assured, though probably not enough to get the car totaled. It looks to be about $13k+ worth of damage, which isn't close enough the value of the vehicle to warrant totaling.
