RSX to TSX

Hey everyone! I did a lot of research into the TSX including checking out this message board before buying one. I traded in my 2002 RSX for a Satin Silver TSX auto with NAVI and picked up the new car this past Saturday! This car is such a pleasure to drive. I almost feel like I don't deserve all of the luxury but I'm sure I'll get used to it soon

Well that's all I wanted to say. I'll post some pics of the new car soon!

I actually did the same, traded in my 02 Type S and got my 6sp w/navi last week. I loved my rsx more than any car I had ever had, but I had put a lot of miles on it, and didn't want a car without a warranty (that I was still paying for), so being used to having a car payment I traded up. The TSX is awesome, the ride blows the RSX away... I do wish the TSX had a little more "pep", but it really is enough for me. The interior of the TSX is far superior to the RSX, especially the navi .

Overall I'm very satisfied with my choice, even though I'm getting picked on for being an "old man" by my friends for buying a 4-door (25 yr old single guy)... They just don't get it.

I missed my RSX for about 5 minutes after I drove off the lot.

I'm personally not impressed with the RSX redesign...Much prefer the Integra. Good choice!

Honestly, I hated the way the RSX drove. You felt every bump and almost had to fight the steering wheel to drive straight. Also, the seats were uncomfortable.

I had checked out every car manufacturer's website and narrowed down my choices to the Accord EX V6, Mazda 6, and the TSX. I love the look of the Mazda 6 but when I test drove one, I was unimpressed by the interior and the engine performance. I eliminated the Accord because everyone has them and I'm not crazy about the styling.

Oh yeah, one more thing. The "only" thing that concerned me about the TSX was hearing about how some people thought it was not peppy enough. So far, I am impressed by the power. Two hundred HP is sufficient for this car.

You're impressed by the 200 hp on the TSX but you're unimpressed by the 220 hp on the Mazda 6? :sqnteek:

He was unimpressed by the engine performance. I think that's a worthwhile difference.

Power is not everything! otherwise, we all go for Mustang or Camaro! refinement and smoothness is more important for me. And gearing also make a big different on power dilevery too. I like Mazda too, its V6 is good but I still prefer the feel on shifting on 7000+rpm.

I was unimpressed by the lack of responsiveness when I hit the pedal. Also, the interior of the "6" sucks.

Passaic County

I don't see too many TSX's around the area yet. Where did you get yours? I got mine at Open Road Acura of Wayne.

Open road Acura or Wayne!

That's where my car's stationed--in for some serious transmission issues. (You can find the video under the problems&fixes section).

Who sold it to you? What's his/her name?

Anyways, I bought mine at Acura of Manhattan.

I dealt with an internet salesman named Alex. Sorry to hear about your car! I went with Open Road Acura because I bought my RSX through them and a friend of mine bought a TL from them also.

i don't feel like an old man when i drive the TSX, on the other hand, i feel old when i drove the new TL as a loaner. even if it looks almost like the TSX, it doesn't seem as much fun to drive.

They don't know the best looking cars in the world are four-door cars........nah.....but many four-door sports sedans look sooooooo good.....by the way, I love TSX a lot although I don't have one.

Performance wise, for sure I'll the S but in the long run the TSX is much more comfortable compared to the S. The S's ride is too ruff. But luckly I have access to both!! :P

Welcome Jeff! I'm in northern Jersey, right by NYC, too. I haven't seen too TSXs around here yet. Just 4 total since I got my TSX over 2 weeks ago. Anyway, congrats!

What..are..you..talking..about?

The TL is much more "fun" to drive. I know because whenever I take breaks from my TSX, I drive my brother's TL, or the loaner, and I can say I feel a huge difference between the old/new TL's to our TSX's.

But let's not talk about "handling", please.
