Recent service on my 06 TSX
Hi everyone,
I just wanted to share the recent service I had on my car from Weir Canyon Acura in Anaheim, CA. I have a 2006 TSX with 24600 miles one it.
About 8 months ago, my right front wheel starts to make this clicking noise while making a left turn. I took it to the dealer, and they put some kind of gold, toothpaste-like material all over the brake pad. The noise went away from a while and it came back again in the last month or so. This time around I also noticed when I go over those bumps that divide the lanes on the streets, there is an unusual clunk noise. So I went to the dealer this morning to get it checked out again. They don't know what's wrong with it so I got two new front brake pads!! They called it the "one time good will"! So the problem is gone, and hopefully it won't come back. Regardless...I got new front brakes!
On top of that, I also asked them to fix the rattle on the glove box, and some rattle coming from the small triangle piece of plastic by the mirror inside of the front passenager door. He put some paddings inside the plastic piece and the problem is fixed...for now.
$20 for an oil change, all the weird noises are gone, and I got new brake pads.....I'm one happy man!
They talked to me about the major service that I may need soon. I haven't change any of the fluids in my car yet. When should I change them? I might just do it myself since they will probably charge 2 legs and 3 arms just to drain and re-fill something!
Also, can anyone recommend a place to mount and balance tires for a good price? I've checked a few local tire shops and the Acura dealer, they all wanted to charge around $35 per tire! That's insane!
Thanks for reading!

Someone stole "My Garage"
Most places around here are $5 for mounting and $10/wheel for balance... so $60/set of 4 to be mounted and balanced.
Change the fluids based on the owners' manual recommendations. You can do most/all yourself (keep receipts) if you're even minimally mechanically inclined.

I have that same noise when turning but mine is when I turn right. Is your car lowered or anything? I have coilovers and I thought that was the problem with mine, but maybe not.
