I have a '05/navi/auto and I've had the car for a little less then 2 months now. There is this very annoying rattle coming from the center consol. when you sort of hit the side of the consol (either side), you can hear the rattle, sort of sounds like a creek. By the center consol, i mean the rattle is coming from the pocket under the navi area. the sound comes whenever i go over a bump or drive on a rough surface.

The dealership thought it was the pocket under the navi, so they replaced it, but the rattle was still there. then they tried to put double-sided tape under the consol, but the rattle is still there.

has anyone had the same problem? I am having a real hard time located the rattle, so i'm just wondering if anyone has had the same problem.

Have you tried just taking out the pocket altogether to see if the rattle goes away? It's really easy to pull out yourself.

I have the same creek, if its not the creek from the link above, its the squeak from behind the nav and pocket. Some one posted before that it is the plastic zip tie that holds the wires behind the nav, I haven't tried to fix it yet but someone on here has done it and said to remove the zip tie or wrap the wires with something soft to keep them from rubbing on the aluminum nav mount. Maybe someday I will get around to fixing it.
