Random Thought: Key your own car ?

The metal that gets close to your car most times are the keys in your hands and personally I almost always open/close doors with keys in hand...just nabit hard to kick... a few times the key touched the car body and I suck back air.....

So I wonder if anyone has done this to her TSX yet, if anyone actutally put any scratch this way.
I'm sure we ALL have done this at one time or another to our past cars

Nope..don't do it..

How bout scratching the cupped part behind the door handle? My clearbra installer was talking to me that people actually have gotten him to put on the clear bra material behind the door handles to prevent scratching of that area..

Used to have that issue

used to have some small surface scratches around the key hole on my integra, but that's because there was no remote and unless you were extra careful puttin gthe key in the door, you were bound to hit some of the painted surface. None of the scratches were really deep or of any significant size.

nope. and with the keychain door unlock there isnt much to worry about. On older cars the door handle are is a mess from missing putting the key inthe lock.

Nope, not me. Use the remote to unlock doors all the time. Then, keys are in the right hand and open door with left. So far, so good.

Always use the remote to open the door. Also, be careful of your finger nails, they actually do more damage to the paint than the key.

I've done this before. Luckily, it didn't leave a mark.

I really would like to see a keyless ignition/entry system for the TSX. I'd pay an extra few hundred dollars to enjoy this feature.
