Radio Preset Questions

Sorry for having to ask this here, however, I lost my manual at school and need to reorder one from the dealer. Anyone know if I can download one online?

1. Is there a way to add additional preset spots for stations? There are many XM stations that I wish I could save to my presets.

2. Is there a way to remove AM radio so when cycling through the different modes: FM1, FM2, AM, XM1, and XM2, it will not come up?

Thanks!

I think the answer to both of your questions is no.

The best radio interface I have ever seen is on the Chevy Impala. There is no "Band" button. Each preset can be either AM or FM (my rental didn't have SAT). There are 6 presets per row, and you can select from 1 to 7 rows of presets. The display shows which row is active, and the buttons list the frequency number (e.g. 97.1 for FM or 1190 for AM).

IMO, every car radio should have this design.

Don't knock that Impala. The car is inexpensive, reliable, huge, comfy, and pulls down close to 30mpg on the freeway at 80mph.

People like to knock it, but for what it is designed for, I think its a great car.

And I agree that new GM corporate head unit rocks.

I agree with Stanwelks. I wish I could have a set of AM channels removed and have an XM3 instead. Unfortunately, it's not possible.
