Problems with vents - similar experience?

Anyone else notice the glowing red eyes peering out of the vents on the dash? I mostly see them at night, but I think they're there, staring at me, even in the day time. At first I didn't think they were really there, so I poked one with a stick and it blinked a bit and seemed ... angry. Now it seems that every vent has a pair looking out at me, just balefully glaring and trying to incite me to do ... things.

I heard the AT doesn't have them, that it's some sort of bonus for buying the MT6, but I think I'd prefer to not have them anyway. My old car didn't have them, at least for most of the time, until the unfortunate mishap with the nailgun. After that, it had the eyes, but I thought they'd be gone in a new car, so I sold the old one to man who had a nice little donkey named "Petey". Lo and behold, the glowing red eyes show up in my new TSX. I'm sorry for burdening you all with this, but seeing those eyes makes it hard to concentrate on what the voice is telling me to do.

BTW, if you meet the old man, look out: "Petey" is really not who he says he is, if you know what I mean. Hungarian tap dancer, my ass.

I had these also, like you I have the 6MT. I brought it to the dealer and apparently there was a Service Bulletin issued a short time ago. I'll try and dig up a link. They mentioned something about having to order some parts - I wasn't really paying attention. In the meantime I covered my vents with black plastic. Seems to have done the trick for now.

Its the hamsters. One keeps an eye on you and when you accelerate he runs down to the treadmill and tells his buddy to go faster.
