What is the MSRP for the TSX outside of North America? What cars are considered competition at that price level? I like to think the TSXs competition is Audis, BMWs and Saabs but maybe this isn't the case outside North America.

 

According to section in the back of CAR magazine, in the UK the Honda Accord 4-door saloon price ranges from £16,495 for the 2.0i to £21,500 for the 2.4i VTEC Executive. ($30,218-$39,388)

The BMW 3-Series saloon is priced from £18,635 for the 316i to £29,260 for the 330i Sport. ($34,139-$53,604)

The 9-3 is priced from £18,495 for the 1.8T to £22,895 for the 2.0T Aero. ($33,882-$41,943)

So, no I don't think so. The TSX-Accord pricing strategy seems about the same in the UK as in the US, call it an "Acura" or call it a "Honda".

I had read a letter in the latest Car & Driver magazine from a New Zealander. He was suggesting that we are overpaying for the TSX in N.A. because in New Zealand the car is priced at a lower level than what we see as competition in the marketplace here.
