Price for clear bras?

What did everyone pay for their clear plastic bras?

It is going to be my first "mod" (i hate that word, sounds so fast and furious) and the dealer I got my TSX from told me like $800, i think i can do better with a local guy or something.

I paid I think $560 for same coverage (from the dealer). You can probably do better by cutting them out, but this was my second TSX with the coverage from the dealer and they do a nice job (whoever they use does anyway). I didn't want to deal with the hassle of finding someone at least fairly local and having to leave the car, etc.

Mine was $595. Just search for the Autobahn dealer in your area on whitepages.com. They sent a guy out to my house when I wanted them early in the morning and were done in about 2 hours. It was the BEST money I've ever spent on my car. I refuse to ever buy a new car without installing the clear bra on it fron now on.

And make sure that you request that they use 3M materials. In my observations, it is the most durable and will protect the car the best. My TSX has just under 40,000 miles on it and the front end still looks brand new. Absolutely get the bra.

I got mine for $400. There was a $399 processing fee to purchase the car, and I told the dealer that it wasn't acceptable. The original cost of the bra was $600, but the offset of the processing fee came in the form of a discounted PPF. Also, I had the dealer include the PPF in the total price of the car so the PPF would be taxed at the rate of the car (3.2%) instead of a general sales tax (5%). You may call me cheap, but hell, I'm an accountant.

Albuquerque - $399 for a custom fit 3M clear bra w/ 5yr warranty for 06 TSX with A-spec kit (front end, side mirrors covered). Added the fogs and headlights for $49.99. A pre-cut clear bra kit would not fit on the A-spec front end.

I paid $350 for the bumper, hood, and mirrors. Best money spent especially if you drive on the highway. It prevents chips.

I've had the Autobahnd Rockblocker film on my 2004 TSX for two and a half years. I paid $325 for the full application: front of hood and front fenders, front bumper and mirrors. I guess I got a good price through the body shop that repaired my car (exactly one year old at the time) after a deer bolted into my path at night. I had the film put on right after the damage was repaired.
The film is very effective, but it's not impervious to every impact. There are little scars here and there on the film-covered sections of my hood and bumper. You have to keep in mind, though, that the hits that caused those scars probably would have been even more damaging to the paint.
Also, as I've pointed out before, the film becomes more visible over time because it doesn’t “age” the same way the uncovered paint does. It gradually gets hazy with very fine scratches. The piece of film you notice the most is the one on the hood, and I've thought about having that piece replaced at some point, because of the haziness. I'm just afraid that the new piece would make the haziness of the old pieces too apparent.

$700 out the door.

3M clear bra, hood, mirrors, fenders, all of front bumper, and all of front lights.

Oh yeah, one more thing. If you do 3M, there is a 5year warranty against peeling and damage, and fading. But that warranty is nonexistent if you do it yourself, or have some uncertified "do it yourselfer" do it. It must be done by a 3M certified dealer if you want the warranty.

Does anyone know of a good clear bra installer around San Diego? The dealer was asking way too much.

Thanks

To resurrect an old thread, anyone had a fair price and good service from a clear bra dealer in San Diego?
