Potential of modding a TSX??

Hey guys,

I just learned about this forum today and i just love it! Great job guys!

My dad's lease with a 2004 TSX ends next year and it would possible for me to buy the buy-back.... it would be a very good price and i was wondering if i would buy, if it had good potential to be modified, motor and exterior wise..

i looked on ebay and there are a couple pieces that are interesting like:

Exterior:

-drop(suspension)
-brake rotors
-upper grill l
-lower grill
-smoked head and tailights(are these legal?? 38% smoked)
-rims (duh)
-front and rear lip kit

Motor:

-headers
-CAI
-performance clutch and flywheel
-exhaust

tell me what u think guys!
thanks

guallome, welcome to aZine.
navigate yourself over to The TSX Main Topics Page , grab a big gulp or soy latte, make yourself comfortable and read.
this question is likely to get nothing but ridicule, since it is so basic. so be warned.
once you read all the threads on mods and view the pics, and then (only then) post up specific questions. G/L

welcome to AZ..

dont buy things on ebay.. AZ have many vendors who can give u much cheaper and reasonable price..

for a start i'd go for comptech rear sway bar. and then suspension, wheels..

welcome to Azine

the TSX is a very mod friendly car, as long as you purchase and install quality parts (no ricer fiberglass bodykits and fart can universal muffler)

One thing I noticed on your list.. if you do go for a lip kit, make sure you get the sideskirts too (since you mentioned front and rear only) because the car will look tacky if all 4 edges (front, both sides, and rear) have different height

good luck

Sounds like a good plan. Just realize that you'll be modding for personal satisfaction. The TSX, even when modded will not beat Porsches, Corvettes, Mustangs, 350Zs, etc.

TSX has an I4 so one header is enough.
