Been a father for almost a year now. One reason I bought the TSX is because it was more baby-friendly. Even still, a Graco Snugride infant carseat is a tight fit (middle location). I think that with any smaller of a back seat than the TSX you WILL be inconvenienced and annoyed, and possibly even put out because you might struggle to find a seat that'll fit (I'd advise searching some IS300 boards for recommendations on seats that fit).

An AT is a good choice over the MT - it's too bad you weren't looking ahead in the future when you bought the MT TSX! However, I think you'll be OK for awhile with the MT TSX even after having a baby - they aren't exactly able to get into "trouble" in the back seat for many a month (6? 10? 12? depends on the baby), so I think you have some time to consider your options. My baby continues to falls asleep more often than not on drives over 10 - 15 min and she's almost a year old.

I used to have a IS300 which had 0 miles when I bought it and 30000 when my lease was up. It is a very solid car and has a very smooth ride. I loved that car but compared to my TSX its ok. I really liked the fact that it was RWD and had a Inline 6. My only complaints is that once my left front caliper got stuck but it got fixed quick and I got to drive a rx330 for a weekend. Another time I brought it in because the front camber was off and ate up my brand new tires in about 2 months, but what really pissed me off is that they did not give me new tires for a problem that is the cars fault. The camber at factory specs eats up the insides of those expensive ass dunlop sport 9000's anyways. Getting oil changes and regular maintanence is expensive about 90.00 dollars a visit and sometimes more depending on the mileage. Dont get one that almost has 30,000 miles because you will have to pay 300-500.00 dollars for the 30,000 mile service and if you get one that is just over make sure they serviced it at 30,000 miles. The leather is better quality in the IS and the backseat is about the same shit as a TSX. The IS to me looks very outdated and ugly compared to the TSX plus the interior is way more luxurious in the TSX and I would not go back if I was given the option............ I say trade it in for a automatic 04-05 TSX.. Oh yeah I am a dad and I rather put my baby in a TSX than a IS300 just because it is a lot safer...

thank you all for the suggestions, i greatly appreciated. i went to look at an IS over the weekend and the more i look at it the more i love my TSX. then i ask myself a question, "Why the heck do i want to downgrade my car?". i only look at one and that was it i didn't want to buy an IS anymore. The interior of the IS is ugly as hell!! Yeah, you guys were right, the back of the IS is smaller. i'm happy to say that i love my TSX and i'm keeping it. thanks guys....

And now you're downing your wife saying she isn't smart enough to drive a MT.
