Please drive safely. RIP Sean Richardson

Just want to let you know that I am in shock right now, at the loss of a friend last night. Driving another friends' car, Sean swerved to miss a deer but lost control of the 2004 RSX-S he was driving and smashed sideways into a tree. Both Sean and the passenger were killed instantly. Car parts were scattered for hundreds of yards in every direction from what I was told.

The rear 1/2 of the car landed over 200 yards from the front 1/2.

Please, drive safely and always be alert for things like deer, animals, and especially pedestrians. These things are not easy to deal with, so having a bit of smarts before this type of thing happens will save a lot of people grief in their lives.

My thoughts and prayers to those who knew Sean and his passenger.

RIP.

~Eric

I only knew Sean, the driver, and just heard that his passenger was only 22 (Sean was 30). I can't imaging how the families feel, but this is just terrible.

Yes, Sean was speeding on a country back-road, and yes, a deer probably jumped in front of him for him to swerve, but regardless, lives should never end this abruptly.

Thanks for your kind words everyone - I will pass them along to Jordan, who is most distraught over this. Sean was like a brother to him.

Cheers everyone,
Eric
