Passenger door rattle fixed

Took my car in to the dealer and they were able to fix the dreaded pass. door bass rattles/vibration problem. Apparently they "tightened" the door panel and door lock screw(s). I really dont know what they did but the problem seems to be gone.

Unfortunately I still have some bass rattling during certain songs , but its coming from my seatbelt hight adjuster now. I'm thinking this should be pretty easy to fix.

Slowly, but surely my car is becoming rattle free

Good to know your dealer is willingly fixing all your rattle problems over time!

Hope all these issues fixed by dealer will go back to factory and they can adjust the new production line. That's why some people suggest don't buy first generation model the first year.

You know...over time, my rattles have "reasonably" gone away (i.e. Heavy bass music at vol. level 38 will cause anything to rattle). The only ones I'm getting lately are the seatbelt height adjusters....and I didn't do anything.

One question: How are you guys able to play your music at such insane levels??? I usually keep mine at around 15-19 and that's fine for me. My bass is at 0. Anything higher than 20 begins to just hurt!

<and no, I don't listen to classical or any wimpy crap. Currently, I have Nickelback's "The Long Road" and Linkin Park's "Meteora" in the changer. :P>

15-19 is good if you are just cruising around. But on the highway or with windows down I need like 25. I'll start going louder now that my rattling is better. I also keep a +2 fade to the back, and have + 3 bass and +1 treble. So the fade requires me to crank the volume up a little more.

fdl, which dealership do you go to for service. Sounds like they are pretty patient with stuff like rattles.

Nope. I think it's the lock buttons rattling against the plastic. Not much I could do with it without risking jamming the mechanism.

Insane levels are for an insane person.

I have my bass at 0, treble at +3, and the fader +3 to front.

Why +3 to the front? You can barely hear the speakers in the back anyways.

-2 bass, +2 treb, +2 fade to the rear and I seem to keep it from 30-40 depending on the song. (eg: its on 40 for Creed's "Unforgiven" and I keep turning it up...) Not very much rattle, but I'm sure that has to do with the -2 on bass. -1 or 0 definitely changes things.

-r

(yeah, I get the seat belt adj rattle too, but don't notice it with the music on or sunroof open)

I have the same problem in mine and I can get rid of it by pressing down on the top cover of the seatbelt anchor, I don't think it's the buttons, I think it's the cover on it. I'm bringing in the car 12/2 to have the dealer fix it..and my squeaky seats..let you know what happens..

One more thing I should probably mention. You want to make it as easy as possible for the tech to reproduce the problem. So find a particular song or cd that does it every time and put it in your cd player, say slot 1. And then tell them SPECIFICALLY what song and at what settings to test.
