Part # request

Hey guys (especially yall w/ service manuals):

I need a 2 small new parts, and of course these are hard-to-identify pieces. When I took my front bumper off and changed my headlights, i discovered I had a broken plastic piece (or broke it in the process) that sits right under the passenger headlight and is where the bumper clips into it. So now my bumper doesn't connect correctly right there.

Also, on the passenger side, where the bolt screws the bumper to the frame (up in the tire well), the bolt currently doesn't sink into anything when it goes through the hole. I believe I'm missing a metal clip there that the bolt actually screws into.

If someone could provide an exploded diagram of the front bumper area, I could probably point them out. I don't have a service manual and I'm bad at identifiying these, so any help is greatly appreciated.

www.acuraautomotiveparts.org should definately help you.

Looking at the picture under Bumpers in the above webpage for the 2004/2005 TSX, I think Parts 40 and 45 are what you are referring to in the 2nd part (tapping screw + plastic grommet).

For the 1st part I am not sure exactly where it is on the diagram.

btw, the service manual does not have part numbers. Since revised parts have new numbers, it wouldn't make sense to have part numbers in the manuals.

I think 44 is the grommet I need, thanks much!

But the other part I can't quite tell, it might be 19 (BEAM, L. FR. BUMPER (UPPER) ).
Can anyone say if this is the plastic piece that the bumper snaps into?

Unless the 2006 is different, I thought the thing right under the headlights (bolted to them) was a black metal bar which the bumper snaps to... not plastic. it does look like 19

There is a metal bar, and a piece of plastic. I did do my own headlight swap, so I know the metal bar is pretty much just that, a straight metal bar.

I guess I'm going to have to do a tear down just to identify it. Damn.

Before doing that, I'd try a search to see if anyone might have posted a pic of the headlight swap that might include the bracket thing you are looking to identify.

Bringing this back. I swapped my projectors out this weekend (usdm in jdm housings now) so I did snag some pics to order the right parts.

Anyone else agree here I'm looking at part #19 (the plastic piece that has the snaps to hold the bumper in place)?

The other screw and grommet i need are definitly #44 and #50 from above, i snapped the driver side equipment in this pic:

if you're refering to the white square plastic piece with a hole in the center for the screw to go on :
2004 - 2005 TSX: diagram #40, part # 90682-SB0-003 |GROMMET, SCREW (5MM)
2006 - 2008 TSX: diagram #44, part # 90682-SB0-003 |GROMMET, SCREW (5MM)

the plastic thing that reach is refering to is
-= 2004 - 2005 =-
diagram #16, part# 71193-SEA-003 SPACER, R. FR. BUMPER SIDE
diagram #17, part # 71198-SEA-003 SPACER, L. FR. BUMPER SIDE

-= 2006 - 2008 =-
diagram #20, part# 71193-SEA-003 SPACER, R. FR. BUMPER SIDE
diagram #21, part # 71198-SEA-003 SPACER, L. FR. BUMPER SIDE

the piece thats broken is part #20, but the other thing i was talking about is on the actual bumper. Its the part of the bumper thats a circle that 44 and 50 go into.
