I had a bag bust on me once, and then she tried to say she was pregnant. The rear airbag comes out of the rear quaterpanel. but its considered a side curtain airbag. Looking at that picture the car is a big ballon. thats comforting.

Generally speaking, it is common for minor injuries to result when the airbags are deployed in major accidents. Alot of people also report minor initial respiratory problems from the powder.

 

So Acura has not made the doors automatically unlock after the bags deploy? That seems rather foolish. Makes getting out when you are disoriented more difficult, as related here, and makes the first responder's job more difficult.
