OT: Accord EX V6 pricing.

I'm looking at an 04 Accord EX V6 no nav for my wife. I've heard that they are going for or below invoice ($23754/Dest.$490). Would an offer of $24500 before tax/tag/doc fees be out of line or could I do much better? I'd like to get them to throw in a trunk tray and cargo net if I can. Also, I don't see it on the Honda website, but do they still make the auto dim/compass mirror accessory for the 04 Accords?

Thanks for any input,

Scott

Scott, I think you can get it for LOWER than $24,500. Even over 2 months ago when I was looking for a car, I was already offered the same car for just $100 over the invoice price by a local Honda dealer. Also, if you are a member of Costco or Sam's Club, make sure you check out their auto club websites too - they have some great prices for Accords too.

By the way, I was looking at the exact same Accord before - it was a huge value for money. It's just that I enjoyed the handling, luxury and exlusivity of the TSX better that I went with the latter in the end. Have you considered the TSX?

I'm considering one to add to the "motor pool" for my wife and daughter. I've been following the prices on carsdirect.com; in my zip code the V6EX-L seems to be priced at least $500 below INVOICE, so I'd subtract another $500-$1000 (Cars direct's "pound of flesh")

Thanks for the replies everyone,

I'm asking here because I figure everyone has thought about the Accord when they were doing their TSX shopping. I've got a $25600(inc/dest.) offer on a TSX auto/no nav that I'm considering as well for myself. I feel the Accord fits my wife's needs best though. Maybe I'll shoot for the mid $23K's. Again, I want the trunk tray, cargo net and the auto dim/compass mirror if it is available for 04 so that should add a few $'s to my offer.

Thanks again for all of the input.

Scott
