Oracle Lighting Angel Eyes

Anyone ever install these or seen them in person?

http://www.automotivelightstore.com/...PROD&ProdID=28

Also has anyone cleared out their factory headlight? Do you just dremel out the orange plastic or is there some other way?

Looks like they're great for Daytime Running Light conversion for the US cars that don't have one! Interesting!

I'd be curious to know if someone has successfully installed one myself! Looks pretty cool!

The foglights took way more time to install than I thought, delaying the install of these. Due to the Giants hopefully winning the superbowl tomorrow delays the project another week. I will post pics as soon as I can.

I like the look, but I don't want to risk damaging my JDM headlights by taking them apart to install these things.

Be careful when putting the housings back together, otherwise you'll have to deal with condensation issues.

Good luck .

I read in another thread that Umnitza makes "eyes" for the TSX, I would go with those. I installed a set in my bmw and I love them! They are super bright and look incredible!

I am pretty skeptical about the angel eyes as replacing daytime running lights, yes of course they should in theory look great after installation, but how long do they really last? I have seen BMW’s with this aftermarket modification with rings that have been either fused or blown. Anyone know if this will actually stand up against the test of time? or will they be blown out after the first year.

the deal on the angel eyes is not generally the rings them selves but the ballast which powers the rings getting over heated and burning up. they need to be mounted in a location that will get adequate air flow. i actually made brackets out of aluminum and polshed them so they looked all nice and shiny. they act as a giant heat sink to help keep the ballast cool so they don't over heat. remember water and heat are the enemies of anything electronic, so seal them up to keep out moisture and keep them cool with sufficient air flow. also, if they come with any kind of cheap ass connectors on them, disspose of these as well and solder all connections and you should be fine.

Living in Canada , my TSX has Daytime Running Lights. Does anybody know if it is possible and legal to use the Angel Eyes as a replacment for DRL and Parking Lights? Obviously I would still need use of the high beams though. Anybody know how to accomplish this?
