only 15,000 units for MY2004?
compared to the over 60,000 units for the newTL??:'(
Something is wrong with this picture. Especially since the new TL has an estimated base price of over 33K according to R&T mag. So much for value and bargain prices. I feel the TL will come off MSRP almost immediately or they wont move compared to the old TL that was below 30K
I think acura will lose me and others as a potential customer for the TSX. What i desire (5AT-navi, red) is no where to be found in the state of texas. They claim 5AT in general are impossible to find and are not available (all sold ) ; They said i could order one but it would take over 3 months to arrive.
What a marketing disaster on acura's part.
Guess i'll go check out a fully loaded accord EX with nav and XM radio instead...or better yet just keep my rsx-s and foggetabout the whole thing
Fuck Acura

Nah, when things are selling you don't snip production. Who knows what the 15k really meant, but I take it as a base target for calendar year 03. Maybe its a TX thing, but 5AT's weren't that hard to find in FL.

Hold on to the RSX and wait! You have nice wheels now. Plus you'll have 3 more months of $$ to put down or buy accessories with. Or you can work the phone or internet and drive to Oklahoma, Arkansas, New Mexico or Lousiana...no need to buy the Accord (unless you get the EX V6 coupe, those are kinda nice, interior is not as nice as TSX though).

15k was almost certainly a sales estimate. If you look at This thread , you can see that cars on the lot right now are in the 14,8xx range. If they stopped at 15,000, they would miss 2 1/2 months of sales, which is not going to happen.
While I agree that it's hard to find the specific color/trim you're looking for, it's not impossible, especially if you're willing to shop out-of-town or have the vehicle shipped. I've seen at least 5 of my preferred TSX (arctic blue AT non/nav) come in and out of nearby dealerships in the past few months. If you can wait a while and check the dealer websites occasionally, you should get what you want.
Also, if you tell a salesman at each dealership to watch for your preferred car, they will most likely call you when it's available.

The TSX has to share the assembly line with countless JDM and European-market Accords--afterall, they share the same basis.
Perhaps that's all the factory could allocate for this calendar year.
That said different Acura salespeople have told me different things. One said it was 15,000 for the 2003 calendar year, and another said it was 15,000 for the entire 2004 model year.

Sorry, can't give a link. I think this may have been on the old site. But of course if we feel like it, we can look again.
