"Old school" metal hood holder
All you Tsx and Rsx owners know that we get the "old school" metal bar holder when we have to open our hoods on the Tsx, but how come Acura didn't give us the "new" kind of hood where u don't need a metal bar to hold the hood like they do on the new TL's, Mdx's, and I think it's in the RL too? Just wondered

maybe ur right, but maybe i should go to a honda dealer and check if the Accord sedan and coupe have the old school or new school bar hood holder. if they do get those and we don't, u can't say the "cheaper" theory then

For all the bits you don't see on a daily basis, I'm guessing we get the cheapie Honda versions.
You can find the "H" plastered on parts from the engine bay to the fuel cap.
I think the TL is a more purpose-built luxury machine.

Well the struts that used to hold my Jeep hood up don't do that anymore. And it costs an arm and a half to replace them, mechanics say they wear out. Having experienced that...I now prefer the sturdy, never-failing-old-fashioned hood prop.

This is annoying, i mean if the accord gets them we should at least get them too. I do agree that in the long run the old school ones are safer, but the new ones look nicer and more luxurious if that is possible. I only say this because this used to be only on the high end model cars.
just my 2 cents

yeah it is annoying and why does the accord get the better attention/feature from honda than in their acura line?
while on this, i have yet to sit in a fully loaded new accord, i wonder if the leather is softer or thicker than on our Tsx?
