Angry Okay, I had an accident....

I got hit last month. For those that care to see, here's a pic of my car at the scene

http://home.comcast.net/~aaronmathewson/bash.jpg

Well, after a month of not having my car (many parts were on back order) I get my car back yesterday and guess what, they replaced all the emblems on my car with the gold ones and never bothered asking me. I would look okay EXCEPT I have a sliver stripe running down the sides of my car. I figure the silver ones must have been on backorder and they just wanted to get the car out of there. Here are the pics with gold.....

Just doesn't look right. I'm gonna make them change it back to silver.

Yeah, if all the trim was gold then maybe but the way it is right now it looks pimp.

See, just one more reason not to have pinstriping.

Kidding aside, that has got to be frustrating. Accidents are only made worse by screw-ups at the body shop. Why do I have the feeling they had run out of silver emblems and just figured, "Hey, I'll bet they won't notice!"

Time to go back and give them the before and after pics and play a game of "One of these things is not like the other."

Yeah, I've already notified them of my dis-satisfaction. They did an awesome job on the new quarter panel, bumper, paint was blended well, etc, but then they just slapped everything back together to get the car out of there (they did a crap job putting my mudflaps back on, look at this pic, what do you notice?)

That's the difference between a satisfied and disatisfied customer.

BTW, I got the car on a dealer trade, I had no idea it had pin striping. Oh well.

Screw is a different color... haha

And the gold emblems look totally out of place, IMO.

Good luck getting your car fixed right. The shop fixing mine after a run-in with a wall damaged the paint in a different area than the damaged one and I had to wait another whole week just for them to fix it. Pretty annoying... :P

the gold emblems are very sad :'( . i think that i would get unnecessarily upset at the body shop.
but come on, that's just ridiculous. they might as well have installed a bumper from a completely different car and tried to pass it off.
this reminds me too much of my poor sister, who after being rear-ended in her focus, ended up getting back from the body shop a crooked focus ES (which DOES NOT EXIST ).

The gold on the back doesn't look bad (if you don't look at the pinstriping). But the front is totally out of place. I guess that means you need to fix them all.

BTW, how much was it to fix?

I don't like it at all.

But I would guess the dealer thought they were doing you a favor since the gold is an option on the TSX.....therefore in their eyes they were "upgrading" you.
