I dont know when to change my car oil. my friend whos

somewhat an expert at cars told me to change oil after my first

1000 miles, and after that, change my oil every 5000 miles.

but the dealer guy told me to just change oil every 10,000

miles.... I dont know who to listen to and 1 more thing.

Does any1 know if theres a brake period for this car???

I would say to just follow the manual.

And yes there is a break in period.

as for the brake period... are you talking about the break-in period or the period you're supposed to break-in your brake? well breaking-in your brake is 200 miles. break-in period for the engine is 600 miles (nothing over 4k rpm, stay under 70mph, and vary rpm as much as possible, don't stay at one constant speed). its is theorized that if you break-in your car for 1000 miles, you'll gain a few hp, but that's theory.
