Oil Analysis results show higher than expected iron, lead

Blackstone just got my results of a 25,000 oil change analysis. Interval was right at 5000 miles, but I showed possible high wear with:

Iron at 21 vs. 8 average, lead 8 vs. 1, high calcium, and slightly elevated phosphorus and zinc.

So, they indicated a possible wear issue with the cyclinders and bearings. My engine is buring about .2-.4 quarts between 5000 mile changes with Mobil 1. I'm self changing, so I know it's done right. Anyone had similar results? The comparison is vs. Acura 2.4's and I'm wondering if perhaps we expect higher wear on the K24A2 since it is a somewhat hard running engine and if perhaps there are other versions of the 2.4 that are a little less stressed and might drop the averages.

you are complaining about .2-.4 quarts???? I burn 1 qt in 3k miles and I have 77k miles on my 04 6MT. Burning oil is typical of Honda motors.... why, I don't know but you need to check with Acura first on what the burn rate is that would be of concern. I know Nissan says until you burn 1.5 quarts in 3k, they don't want to see the car.

1/2 quart over 5,000 miles is NOTHING. For ANY type of car or truck.

Id do backflips if this is all my TSX winds up burning.

For comparison purposes check out this thread: https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=22090. I posted my oil analyses (2 of them) from Blackstone as did some others.

Thanks, I searched but used a bad conditional. I knew there was a thread out there, shrug.

No, I'm not complaining about the oil burn, I think it's fine. the iron/lead does worry me a bit.

BTW, you didn't mention what oil you were using.
