OIL additive at 30,000 miles?

BG MOA, a premium engine oil additive with deposit inhibitors was recommended to me by my dealership at 30,000 miles. Is this recommended by the folks here? If not is there another oil additive that is better?

Also, what about fuel system additives....I've read through some of the threads and it seems like Redline and Techron are the best.

Thanks,
Chris

If your service manual does not call for additives, DO NOT USE THEM. This is nothing more than high dealer profit at YOUR expense. I have NEVER added any additives to my cars and they last as long as I dare to keep them.

Yeah I wouldn't be too worried about it. I like to use an engine flush treatment every few oil changes but that's about it.

I do not think that additive is needed except to the dealer to make a profit. Luckily the dealer I take my tsx to does not recommend it. My tsx has almost 34,000 miles on it.

Use the right oil and change it at the recommended interval. That's it! The owner's manual says specifically that Honda does not recommend any additives. It's not a conspiracy folks.
