OEM Bra??
Does anyone have the bra for the TSX? I'm planning to get one to put on when I take road trips, to protect my beautiful bumper from rocks and bugs. Does it come off and on with a few clips here and there, or does it get more complicated than that?

does anyone have this? how does it go on? I was planning to buy it just so I could put it on when I go on road trips to prevent rocks from chipping my bumper. If it's a bitch to put on and take off I'll probably skip it, but if it takes like 1 min to put on and take off then I'll probably go for it?
What you guys think? worth protecting the bumper?

personally don't like the way the oem bra looks on the acura site so i got a clear bra installed over the weekend. it was $389 + tax, 2-3 times more than the oem bra but:
- don't have to take off/put on
- looks better than oem bra
- 4 yr $1k warratny from bug acid, rocks, etc
the clear bra is also not noticeably unless you are looking for it or get really close. you can find more information and an installer at www.xpel.com if anyone is in orlando and wants more details of my installer just lemme know

Took me a few minutes to put on the bra for the first time and the same to take it off...it's butt ugly but it keeps the bugs off when I go on long trips. I'm in the process of putting on a clear bra setup I have the bumper and headlight kits installed, and having a pro install the bumper kit at a later date, much better looking than the oem bra

I have the oem bra. It was a bitch to get on the first time. It took about 90 minutes to get on. After the first time it only takes about 10 minutes to get it on and less than 5 to take it off. I got mine for long trips.
I think it makes the car look bad but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. email me at briny319@aol if you want more info.

From a previous conversation on the boards, it was uncovered that putting the clear bra on the headlights is a bad idea since it tends to distort the light, and it actually ends up yellowing faster than the stuff you put on the car.
In person, I've seen this, as my Dad's 99 Maxima has the headlights and foglights protected. The fog's aren't too bad, but the headlights are definitely yellow, and at night, there's a noticable lack of light thrown by the headlights....
Besides, I think the headlight covers are made up of a high impact plastic...so, it's difficult to chip/crack them anyway.

Got an Acura one on mine and it went on pretty easily. Mind you, I didn't actually put it on...watched the service guy put it on when I picked it up, but it's well worth it especially for those long trips.
