nyc drivers... what tint shop do you recommend?

location (address & telephone if possible)?
price?
film?
% (front / back / rear)?
on a scale of 1-10 (10 being highest), how would you rate the entire tinting experience?

thanks in advance!

i went to a fellow named tom that runs 'the art of tint' in manhattan.

very professional, does great work. i'd rate him a 9/10. i think his rates are $300 for normal film, and more if you decide to go huper optik or solar gard.

i got 35% all around. 50% is still too light to even notice and justify the cost/benefits, and the legal limit (i think it's 75%) is practically nothing.

here's his website: http://www.theartoftint.com/

he's got some pretty famous clients too. so you know if he's good enough for derek jeter and 50cent and their rides, he's good enough for your baby.

well, those "stars" go to unique auto to have their cars done.

so they don't deserve any credit at all.

and Solar Gard is no where near on par with Huper Optik if you ask me.
but I haven't heard too much about Solar Gard in person though.

and $300 for a regular tint job is a ripoff.

that's your opinion and you're entitled to it.

i got the huper optiks. i get a lifetime warranty as long as i own the car. he installed felt lining on the door as well.

it may be expensive, but i know i'm getting a quality product and quality service. i saw tints that my friends got from random shops for like 200 bucks. the quality of the film is garbage, and they have bubbles or broken brake light housings from people who don't know what they're doing.

i'm sure there are more-competitive prices. but i'm not going to cheap out on something like tints.

I also got Huper Optics from Tom. They're great. It looks reflective if you move closer to the car.

That's extremely cheap. What kind of film does he use?
