hmm good question... im not an exactly an official starter/organizer of this event, but lets make it an "all are welcome" event.. hopefully the weather will be nice on that day so all friends and families can come out and enjoy

uhmm one question about lake elizabeth: which entrance?

I think there's an opening along stevensons blvd where there are less people and there's an open field, but it's next to a police station... so yeah.

the more popular entrance is along paseo padre. I'm not sure, but I think the parking is smaller there.

I'll go there tomorrow and report back with pictures and stuff if you guys want.

Yeah I don't think anyone answered this but should I advertise this meet in the "other" TSX forum?

 

I do have a Euro R bodykit, JDM tail lights, JDM pedals, JDM Euro R grill, JDM fogs, JDM Honda badges front and rear, JDM dipstick, Rotora slotted front and rear rotors, Rotora H2 ceramic pads, Mugen license bolts, LED conversion interior and exterior, and JDM dipstick. Thats about it for now I will be taking some photos of my car since I haven't taken any since I originally just installed the Euro R bodykit with Acura badges and nothing else. I got alot of new parts and will be taking some pix hopefully before and at the meet as well.

Also, since I put on my new wheels, I have my all curbed and scratched up OEM wheels sitting at home.. I was bored today and went to Kragen's to get a bunch of stuff, attempting to do a repair on the old ones.. the results are AWESOME.. this is something I can provide at the meet (if anyone wants to repair their curbed OEM wheels that is)

yea, there are a few entrance to Lake Elizabeth. However the best entrance and best parking lot is the one in the back of the Lake. It is huge and it has access to the BBQ pits and view of the lake.

Directions are take Paseo Padre Ave. in Fremont all the way down passed Stevenson Blvd (Fremont Library), keep going until you run pass a railroad crossing then make a U-turn at the next stoplight after the railroad tracks. Then after your U-turn, keep going until you see a semi-hidden entrance on your right which leads you to the back of the park where our meet should be at.

 

My neighbors just bought a brand new 2006 RBP tsx.. im inviting them even they are not azine members

Okay! i've taken some photos, and I'm in the process of uploading them. I found three sites that I thought was worth looking into. I was looking for bbq, parking spaces, and distance from parking space to bbq place. And whether or not they have shade at the tables.

Read the comments I made for my reasoning. Determine yourself which one you like. Everything in there is my opinion. I haven't been there in a long time (6 years), so I don't know what the conditions are like at different times of the day or different day in general.

I didn't drive my tsx because it was almost out of gas
(BTW, tsx is a huge upgrade from the corolla. I was driving it and was wondering why it didn't seem like it's moving)

Couple more things; If you're turning onto Stevensons from Mission Blvd, there might be trains running across. I was misfortunate enough to run into one after I finished exploring

The purpose of the meet is to let us fellow A-zine TSX members from the bay area to meet each other... we will be doing photoshoot, installs, Q/A, and of course the BBQ =) The BBQ is a pot luck thing, so everybody who is attending is encouraged to bring something

oh and I have the 06 OEM bodykit but that was dealer installed and I'm kinda nOOb at installs but am willing to help in any way that I can . . . hopefully the thing has instructions we could look it . . .

 

how much did the dealer charge yooh for the install and where? i have an 05, and ive printed out the instructions, however they intimidate me hahaha

 

honestly I'm not quite sure how much the install cost cuz it was one of the options we got when I got the car . . .

I did my own Euro R bodykit install if anyone needs help installing there kit I would be able to help out. It actually is really easy to install the hardest part is probably the front bumper (well atleast for the Euro R because of the JDM fogs and removing bumper.

Yeah but from what I've noticed from reading the bay area threads over there . . . not many TSX guys respond over there . . . so in a way I'm thinking moving it there will just attract other Acuras . . . I mean I was one of the few TSX's at the Acurazine meet in April and a bunch of them didn't notice I was there and I only saw 2 TSX's other than myself . . . so I dunno . . . it's up to you guys . . .

 

yea i feel that. i mean right now we got like 3-4 ppl confirmed and i think we can get more over there. i wouldn't mind other Acuras showing up...CLs, TLs, tegs, etc. this meet is like a meet and greet kind of thing and i guess meets wid more ppl are the best ones.

 

Hmm . . . granted . . . I'm still waiting on responses from my non TSX friends to see if they want to come . . . but the main thing I'm worried about is if us TSX guys get outnumbered despite this supposedly being a TSX meet . . . I mean I'm all up for other cars . . . it's just I'm hoping that more TSX guys try to show up . . .

So there you go, a lil slideshow of the park. Park itself is really big, parking is plentiful, scenery is great, hella ducks too. entrance might be a lil confusing, so i think we should have a sign or sumthing saying "Turn in here for TSX meet". or have someone near the entrance and flag folks down.

Directions:

From North: Take 880 south, exit Stevenson Blvd. Make a left off the freeway onto Stevenson Blvd. Make a right on Paseo Padre. Make a U-turn on Gomes St. Enter the park entrance on the right.

From the South: Take 880 north, exit Stevenson Blvd. Make a right off the freeway onto Stevenson Blvd. Make a right on Paseo Padre. Make a U-turn on Gomes St. Enter the park entrance on the right.
