Nokya H11 Hyper Yellow bulbs

Hey,

Anyone tried those bulbs? I heard it's newly released by Nokya. Not a lot of manufacturers produced H11 yellow bulbs - only SPP did it. So anyone heard of the Nokya H11 Hyper Yellow bulbs? Are they any good?

BTW H11 bulbs are for our OEM foglights.

Thanks.

Vincent

from ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=7956557601

btw i am using SPP's H11 yellow bulbs right now. Don't really like the look, that's why I am looking to switch to Nokya. I want the Lexus IS300 gold yellow foggys' appearance for my white TSX.

They're listing the purple color temp at 8500K. I've seen cars with what look like fake HID foglights. These must be how they get that effect.

Fogs should be that nice warm yellow though. Maybe I should try a set of these myself.

Please do!

H11's are the fogs, but I am also looking at some bright white (HID color temp) H1's for my high beams.

Since I can no longer edit, these are the H1's I'm getting to replace the stock high beam bulbs. Color temp is bright white, about what the stock Xenons are.

Why would you want your high beams to be yellow though? I'd want mine as white as possible. That's the whole reason why Xenon HIDs are so popular - they have a spectral quality that is closer to sunlight than tungsten halogens are.

For foglights, yellow undercuts the fog better and reflects back into your eyes with less glare, so it's better. For headlights you want something that's as close to daylight as possible, i.e. as white as possible.

Not knocking your tastes or anything, I think they look great. I'm just curious how they perform on the road as opposed to the stock high beam bulbs.

My yellow H1s work better than the xenon white and stock, Granted I only use them during extreme road conditions, I have 6000K HIDs and when it rains and during fog the beam just disapears.

When I turn on my Yellow H1s I can see very clearly. There is a reason why race cars and rally cars use hyper yellow. Its not that I dont like the white, you`ve also never seen it on my car in person before. Its not just yellow, they change color based on distance. From far away its yellow and as you get closer it becomes a purple white gold blue sparkle. There is also less glare from these bulbs because they dnt burn your eyes like hyperwhites do.

I think its funny that people say that to get as close as you can to daylight , you should get bluer bulbs. Last time I looked at the sun it was Yellow. Hehe, But i`m just being ignorant, daylight does have a higher Kelvin rating than that of yellow, its just funny how nature and science work.

Sunlight is the definitition of white light. Sunlight consists of the entire electromagnetic spectrum.

The Sun at noon has a natural color temp of 100 CRI and between 5000 and 5500 degrees Kelvin at noon time. Both CRI and Kelvin are important for the simulation sunlight.

i think that looks cool.

the jdm dc2r integra has a yellow housing integrated in the headlight assembly.

yellow does cut through fog pretty good.

plus it's jdm yo!

Looks good. Do you notice any discoloration from heat? The fogs get damn hot, especially when the car isn't moving and that will discolor the OEM clearbra material. Might not matter if it's already yellow though.

Also, what headlight bulbs are you and your friend using? They look bluer than the stock HIDs. The stock HIDs on the TSX are, I think, something like 4300K. Those look like the 8000K bulbs you can get.

Examples here: http://www.hidexpress.com/

I recently got a hold of some 8000K bulbs like these and I'm going to try them out.

i have the stock hid's, my friend has the xenon-depot 6000K. i don't know if you can notice it from the pics but i have 1 film on the fog light, he has 2 filims per fog light, his are a little more yellow then mine.

IMO, the PIAA ion yellow is the best looking "JDM-yo" look. i had them on my accord which also had 4300k HID d2r. Looked exactly like the is300/gs430 combinations.

Haven't put mine in yet due to not having a friend to lend a hand. Kinda hard to do from a wheelchair when you have no lift.

However I'm now entertaining the idea of just getting a HID conversion kit for the fogs.

Thumbs up Done!

I got the Nokya H11 Hyper Yellow bulbs a couple weeks ago but haven't had a chance to mount them. After reading a couple threads and evaluating my skills, I decided to have the Acura dealer install them. It cost $20 and was done within 15 minutes (billed for 30 minutes I think). They gave me no grief with the fact that the bulbs are a higher wattage (80 or 85W) compared with the stock 55W.

The bulbs look great... Really yellow... I would post pictures... but they would look EXACTLY like the ones NightHawk CL9 posted showing off the yellow film.

The car looks so awesome at night with the yellow's!!! To anyone who's considering doing this... I'm 100% sure that you won't be disappointed. Cheap mod that really adds something!!!

just a word of caution.

i remember back in the days before hid kits became popular, my friends and i all bought luks superwhites. man they look so good, and i think they were 65W bulbs. well the factory bulb was rated at 55W also.

my friend had a nissan altime and the luks superwhites actually caused his wiring harness for his headlight to melt.

doesn't anyone make a 55W yellow bulb?

yea, well a few weekends ago i took off the film cause it got too hot and started discoloring the film into like 3 different shades of yellow, looked kinda horrible...... so i'm looking into getting real yellow bulbs. and the guy on clubrsx who has the films i cannot find anymore, but i'm sure any yellow film would do the trick (his paper had avery written on the back).

what other solutions are for haveing an 85W bulb for a 55W system..... would building a new harness do the trick and how much would that be.... (btw noob at electrical)

The melting of the wire harness used to be a problem on the accords and maximas when I was younger.....all my friends and I just bought new harnesses from the local auto store. Worked like a charm....it allowed us to run 85w bulbs no problem.

NightHawk CL9, its just two wire so its just a matter of splicing them to the old wires.

Well like I said, you changed the wiring and are not using the OEM....or that what I think you said on the other thread.

Looks good btw
