It already does that, except that it determines light/dark based on whether you have your headlights on. It remembers two dimmer settings - one for headlights on, one for headlights off. You may not have noticed this feature since you have headlights on all the time.

haha i love it retina-scortching

heh, yeah i like my night down one notch, so i can keep an eye on whats going on. my uncle likes to keep it on full blast. its a pain to drive cuz my eyes wont adjust, espeically driving out where theres no street lights at time. plus i like the fact that the whole cabin and my face isnt lit up when i drive.

nighttime - i lower the lighting to the dimmest illumination, with nav switched off.. sometimes i even turn off the clock lighting... it just puts less strain on the eyes...

yeah, I noticed that a little bit, but it would be nice if it was based on light/dark not headlights on/off
