Newbie here!

WELLLLLLL!!!

I have had this car all of two days and I love it. I got out of a lease on an '04 VW Touareg. This car has to be the most amazing thing ever!!!! I had to drive to Atlanta to pick up. I drove back in the ice storm the SE had Friday and had about a 1" coating of ice on it. The car is Black/Black, Automatic with Navi. I have a few questions - Does the XM get activated or do I have to do it? Also is there a way to make the doors lock while driving past a certain mph?

Glad to find such an awesome TSX Community!

I have the same car, but '04. Congratulations!!

The doors won't auto-lock, or un-lock. That's a VW/Audi feature not available on Acura vehicles.

Regarding the radio, contact your dealer for info.

Try this for XM

go to http://www.xmradio.com/oemrefresh/

type in your XM radio code (tune to Channel 000) and click Refresh.

Leave your TSX XM radio powered on for at least 15 minutes....it should start working then.

If you don't have all the channels at that point, either call your salesman or call XM directly.

I hope this helps!!!

I'm not sure how they did the final price because I am leasing it. My lease payments are $462 /month 42months/15K. This was with $0 down - Sign and Drive. Also it includes a 5 year tire/rim road hazard protection.

One more question and I promise I will leave you guys alone!

Do I need to have an alignment done since it is new?

The guy at the tire place where my dad's corporate account is told my mom that with every new car you need to have it re-aligned. Because when they tighten them down on the trucks it can screw it up. This guy is a friend and is really honest so therefore I don't think he is BS'ing me. On the touareg 3 of the four wheels were mis-aligned, thus at 20,000 mile the tires were no good. Should I have this checked out?

Judge for yourself. Typically, if the alignment is off by a fair amount, you should be able to tell by how the car drives. For the most part, I don't think this is a problem. Plus, if the alignment is out of spec from the dealership, you should be able to convince the dealer to do an alignment for you for no cost.
