new thickness of '06 steering wheel

can anyone get me exact specs of the steering wheel? i'm guessing it's the same circumference, but how much thicker is it, both at the 10/2 o'clock positions and at anywhere else on the wheel? i may have to get mine replaced, and would be curious if i could get the '06 on my car.

What's wrong ?
Warranty replacement ? if so, I doubt you can get 06 if it is indeed different from 05.

Diameter wise, it's the same. But it's a little thicker sort of like a sports steering wheel. It's thicker on the inner diameter. Not so much on the outside. I do think that the steering wheel controls are a tad different though because the 06 wheel will include like the blue tooth stuff. So it may not be a direct swap.

they replaced it once under warranty, but when they put on the new one, they scuffed the heck out of it. i used to drive an RSX, and i really do miss the thicker, meatier steering wheel. it's gotten to the point that i'm seriously considering trading my TSX in for another RSX, even if it is a significant downgrade overall (although about a $90-100 difference in payments per month too!)

All that just for a thicker wheel? If you trade you'll lose money. It'll probably be worth it for you to pay for the 06 wheel instead.

eh, it's for the entire driving experience too. the turn-in on the TSX is sloppier, as is the body roll. not to mention, you're not taking into account $100 less a month. stretch that out over another 40 months and i'm not "losing" money. sunk cost.

Sloppier and more body roll? you need a rear sway bar. That's all i have to say.
