New S2000 here, TSX has to go

Hello to all the TSX people. I really enjoy this Acurazine forum and am constantly amazed at the expertise and knowledge out there as shown in some great posts on so many subjects pertaining to the TSX. Maybe we should all pause for a moment and think about what a truly fine car this is! I had a ’98 Bimmer 328IS and the TSX is just a better all-around car IMO. I’d like to say a BIG thanks to all you guys and gals that make this forum so good and FUN to read. I spend way too much time on it!

This is my first post here, but it is “bittersweet.” Reason: My 2004 CGP 6MT Navi is up for sale because I just got a 2005 S2000! Can’t afford both, and the”S2K Bug” bit too hard to resist. The new “baby” is fantastic, but won’t reach V-TEC territory until 400 more miles rack up on the odo.

I will miss the TSX a LOT. It has been a fine car, fun to drive, and not a squeak or a rattle in 14K miles. For the record, I added a Progress Rear anti-roll bar at around 9K. This has got to be near the top of the heap for the best bang for the buck; it makes marks for getting the car closer to neutral steering, improves response in crosswinds and rewards you with better tracking. If you’re holding off getting one of these, Comptech or Progress, just get one; no way you’ll be disappointed.

I’ll plan to write and post some sort of TSX-S2K comparo after the miles get up there and more experience is under the belt. Comparing the two is a bit of an apples and oranges thing, but it should be fun to do it any event. BTW, the S2K is Silverstone Metallic with black leather; the top looks a sort of bluish-black in the sunshine. I’m in Savannah, Georgia, so that means top-down most all-year-round is possible, in-between dodging thunderstorms that are common in good ol’ summertime.

Here’s rundown on my TSX:
CGP 6MT Navi / all-season floor mats / trunk tray / cargo net / door-edge trim / splash guards / OEM spoiler (it came that way new) / fog lights (I call ‘em “Frog lights”) / wheel locks / Progress rear anti-roll bar.

Best Regards from Savannah, Gawga

a first post goodbye? We hardly got to know ya.

Congrats. Too bad you can't afford both. A convertible 2 seat sports car and a 4 door sedan do complement each other.

Man I couldn't ride with the top down in Savannah, boy when I lived there if I rolled my windows down my seats would puddle with sweat from all the humidity and the cobblestones are harsh on the car!. Good luck with the s2000, like was said too bad you couldn't fit them both in the driveway.

Yeah, gets hot and humid here, but you do get used to it after awhile Plus, this S2K has the *new* sweat-puddle collector option

The cobblestones down by the river get like ICE when wet; good thing ya' gotta' creep along there in 1st-gear max!

Thanks to all for extending best wishes.... AND, I will post some stuff on TSX/S2K ride/drive comparos after I can V-Tec the new 'baby.' Now only 250 miles to go before that big event
