Share some of your feedback on the TSX vs IS300 thread on this forum. The 06 is a great car. Make sure you get a Hondata mod. I really want that on my 07.

I miss the auto lights and the autolevel headlight function in the Lexus. Plus the Lexus had a onetouch sunroof. And of course Lexus dealer service is better and the car has a little more prestige. But i love the TSX its almost as fun to drive rides a little better and the MPG is much better. I really like this car alot.

Oh ok thanks ill have to check on that. I also like the Lexus keyless entry integrated into the key head. I see everything i miss about my Lexus has been added to the 2009 just more reasons to want to switch.

You can get a 1 piece made, it just takes some modifications on existing keys. Do a site search for the moda_way key mod. It's an Accord key with a TSX key blade in it. There's also the TL switchblade key mod (which I have) which involves milling the key blade from an 06 TL key to work with the TSX ignition. The remotes for both are the same type as the stock TSX so they'll both work for the keyless entry. The immobilizer chip for the TL key is the same type, so you just have to have the locksmith or dealer program the ECU to accept it. Not sure if the immobilizer chip for the Accord key is the same, or if you have to transplant one from a TSX key into the Accord key to get it to work.

^ the 09 tsx key is identical looking to the 07 tl one.
I have an 07 tl switchblade key for my 08 tsx.
and heeltoe automotive is right now gearing up to make many more
of them, so getting one would/should not be a problem again soon.

but if you want an 09, then by all means.

if you are into modding your car at all, you might want to reconsider...

If you love the lexus so much why didn't you buy another one. I own a 06 tsx and I am glad it does not have auto-lights, one touch sunroof and the tl switchblade key. My mom owns a 08 accord with the auto lights. Due to the auto-lights and her very short drives the battery died 3 times. I turned off the autolights, no more problems. There is good and bad dealer service in all makes of cars including Lexus. The acura dealer near me has lousy service but the one in Pa is excellent.

I have to agree with the OP, Lexus does have a better dealer service than Acura. Excellent is more like it.

Good buy on the TSX, show us some pics and remember, "diversity is the spice of life."

Thats what I did. Only I'm keeping my 06.

I dont' think the TSX looks as good in person as it does in real life. I didn't like the 1G either until I saw one in person. Anyway, I didn't like the 09 until I saw a black one in the showroom. Its really nice, especially if you paint the grill to match the body.

The nearest Lexus dealer to me has a masseuse on staff while you're waiting. There's a reason they dominate the ownership experience ratings. There's a reason why Lexi are so much more expensive (among others obviously).

The reaon i didnt buy another Lexus was that the IS350 is too expensive and i dont like tailights on the 09. The dealer up the street that sold me my second IS300 sold me a car that was involved in an accident and wouldnt do anything to resolve the issue. So i switched brands i bought a 06 BMW 325i got bored after a week and exchanged the car for the TSX now i want the 09 since ive seen it in person.

I really do not need a massage while getting my tsx serviced. I usually get a loaner car and visit with family and friends. They even let me keep the loaner car overnight even tho the service on my car is done. I am extemely pleased with the service I have received from my acura dealer.

+1

I had auto lights on my old car and they annoyed me. There also was an issue with recharging the battery and at times I simply needed no light from them

I personally don't think any car with HIDs should have auto lights. The life span of the bulbs will suffer. HIDs age with ignition cycles, not total hours like a Halogen bulbs. You turn them on when you need them. Now, I will leave mine on from time to time when I get out of the car at home. Particularly when my roomate forgets to leave the porch light and I can't see the knob when I get home from work at midnight (I'll be so glad when I can get a contract on a house.) But those times are few and far between, certainly not nearly as many unnecessary ignition cycles as an auto lighting circuit.

When I bought my 1G TSX, i was considering the IS300 which was my first choice, but then I began to love my 1G. Now Im with my 2G. True that there are no mods for it, but its only been released for less than a year. It will eventually come.

IMO- with the economy the way it is-I doubt they would have a v-6 tsx-They would keep it the way it is and then try to sell you the tl if you want the v-6. I think a diesel tsx will be more likely or maybe a hybrid.

You're a little behind the times. The diesel engine has been delayed for an unspecified amount of time. Honda has all but confirmed the V6. A hybrid is not likely on this platform in the near future.

no shit sherlock. I will believe the tsx will have a v-6 when Honda/acura confirms it not from a anonymous source.

I havent driven the new TSX but im going to the dealer soon to do that. If the car has a V6 it will take car of my power needs but it might negatively effect the handling.

The V6 is going to be debuted at the Chicago Auto Show next week we're hearing now. nj2pa2nc, if that's not firm enough for you fine but please go ahead and shove it this time around.

You are correct- I was wrong and I admit it-sorry- My friend, a acura dealership owner, confirmed it for me. He does not have too much information but what he knows so far is. It will be offered in limited quantities, probably late spring/early summer.

I finally drove the new TSX Thurs. Wow its a good car. I drove a silver 6speed without the tech package. The car feels more powerful in the mid range and downlow also it really feels like a luxury car inside i love cant wait to get one.
