New member, looking to buy in SE Michigan

Hello forum. First post here.

After much deliberation, I'm prepared to purchase the TSX in the next few weeks. I will probably buy the car in south east Michigan, preferrably around Ann Arbor. Any members here have experience purchasing a TSX from the dealers around there? What did you pay for your TSX? Did you get any freebies thrown in, like wheel locks, cargo nets, floor mats, etc? Edmund's TMV is listed as $26,263(including destination charge) in Ann Arbor for non-Navi auto. Is that a good price?

I'm leaning towards arctic blue, carbon gray, or satin silver(that's the one that doesn't have the blue tint, right?).

Just bought one from Acura of Troy

Hey F-C,

I know Troy is a little hike from AA, but I got the best service and a pretty good price on my CG non-navi.

I got mine for $25,850 and all Acura of Troy TSXs come with trunk tray, mud guards and wheel locks at no additional charge. You also get first oil change for free and free TL loaners for service.

I couldn't be more happy with the service and the car.

Good luck.

Go to Acura of Troy!

Hey,

Go see Dave Elledge at Acura of Troy and he will hook you up. I bought a CG, Auto, Non-navi in March for $25,500 + TTL. Protection pkg included.

I emailed offers of $25,300 to Troy, Ann Arbor, and Suburban Acura....Troy was the only one that came back with a counter offer. Ann Arbor never responded, and I am still getting "Come in and test drive a TSX" spam emails from Suburban.

Overall, Acura of Troy...and my salesman Dave Elledge were both a pleasure to deal with. No pressure to add on anything, no financing tricks, and I got a good rate the first time.

Thanks for the tip!

mdblum, Ambient,

Thanks for your suggestions. I'll definitely check out Troy as my first choice. I assume that the $25,500 and $25,850 that you guys paid was for the vehicle+destination charge. Can you give me additional breakdowns for what you paid on documentation fee, registration, license, sales tax, etc? It's better to be fully informed than to get shafted when I go pick up the car.

Price Breakdown (approximate)

$25,850 included destination, mud guards, trunk tray and wheel locks.
I paid $10 for plate fee and like $75 for title work.
Tax was the standard 6% for Michigan.

Going to Troy would be worth the drive.

Ann Arbor Acura is a joke. I have never been impressed with their service. A buddy of mine just bought a TSX at Suburban. When he went to AA Acura, they wouldn't budge off the sticker price! At Suburban I know he was VERY happy with the transaction and the deal he got (he never gave me specifics though) His salespersons name was Michael Smith. Might want to give him a jingle too.
