New hood still need a rod?

I did a search and couldn't find the answer so ok. I looked at pics of the 05 TSX and it looks as though it uses a rod to prop up the hood. I was under the impression it stood on its own since even my mom's 1990 Maxima doesn't use a rod. It's not a big deal, I just though it was odd. Does anyone know if the 06 will still use a rod? I know it wasn't on the changes list, but I was just wondering.

More than likely it will have a hood rod. This is why a few of us are doing the hood shock mod from Redline Tuning. I've started mine already, but I haven't had time to finish. Need to pick up some clear silicone from Home Depot (insulate noise and water).
