New Enhanced Navigation (the Zagat guide model) Geek Question

Hey all,

The TSX navigation system is built by Alpine, and this year, in the after-market, Alpine is releasing a new navigation system that from pictures, looks like the new Enhanced Acura Navigation system (Zagat reviews, exit ramp pictures and assistance, etc...) I'm sure Alpine changes their OEM units for Honda but I wonder...

Without the after-market XM Navtraffic tuner on the upcoming after-market navigation release, the unit basically functions like the TSX navigation. So what if you bought the Navtraffic tuner, do you think it'd interface into the factory nav?

If not, is there a separate Navtraffic tuner in the RL, or is it all built into the navigation brain. If it's a separate unit, do you think that'd plug into the TSX nav (the new one)?

Basically the TSX nav will be the RL nav without the Navtraffic, which is why I ask, and seeing the similarities to Alpine's after-market navigation system. All I'm asking for is some speculation because the new nav isn't released yet.

You probably wont be able to interface the RL's unit directly becuase it's a totally different system. The Alpine's maybe. But you can't be sure unless you try it.
