New 05 TSX owner!

Hey everyone,
I just bought a 05 blue Acura TSX. I'm waiting for my bank to send me the check to complete the sale... but it should be done by Saturday morning. The car has Black on black interior, 36,000 miles, no navigation. I was really happy with its driving and performance for the $12,500 price. The car did have the rear bumper repainted and you can tell if you look hard. The rest of the car was very clean. Slight curb rashes on the rims.

Can't wait to detail and wax it.. Is there anything I need to know about these cars? Any issues or things i should take care of? Any cheap modification that will enhance the driving/integrity of the car that should have been done to it in the first place? I will be undercoating it, and applying anti corrosion fluid film to it. Any greaseable ball joints?

Congratulations.

You will love it. I am biased considering the car I own.

One pending issue: There is a recall for a leaking power steering hose. Contacting your dealer will take care of problem.

Enjoy the vehicle. It is a great car.

welcome and many miles of safe driving. The only complaint I have is the lousy paint-chips easy. If I had known when I first owned the car I would have invested in a clear bra

Yes it does look like the paint chips easy by looking at all the ones when i went shopping... The power steering hose has been replaced by the dealer.

I think its the car to have if you want a reliable car, cheap maintenance, quality luxury, and great gas milage... all while being stylish/sporty.

I am selling my 96 honda accord with 230,000 miles on it. And the first owner was hard on the car... and it still runs fine.. I expect to see an easy 300k miles out of this Acura as I suspect I will be keeping it for many years.

I agree that the paint chips easily. My car was sold to me with a chip or 2 on the front hood and some scratches by the driver's door handle.

I am biased as well, but I do agree that it's an excellent all rounder- reliability, performance, comfort, efficiency, and style. I also plan on keeping mine for at least another 150,000 miles before trading.

congrats on the new car. I too just bought an 07 tsx. My 95 jdm integra was recently totaled. I was rear ended by someone trying to do 80 mph in traffic. It has been interesting going from a 2 door manual to a 4 door auto but it is I nice change. And there are deffinatly plenty of things to do to these cars.

thanks everyone..
Yeah I was looking at doing a few things with the Stereo, brakes, sway bar, and hondata... oh and some clean rims... other than that I think i'll leave it be. I have a project car that gets most my money and time already.

I need to definitely get bluetooth and an ipod hook up for it.
