so next time YOU have a question, would you like people to tell YOU to just "search" ... A guy comes on the board for help not to hear someone say, "Oh just 'search'"

Come here long enough and you will find out why people say to do a search. The same questions appear over and over again.

Then what's the point of the board if new people can't come on and ask a question? Let's just make the WHOLE zine an FAQ.

It must be great to know everything.

People can certianly come here to ask a question. But isn't it nice to know that you can try the search feature here and find the answer to your question without even asking. It's like instant gratification.

Obviously you didn't read my post.

If it BOTHERS you this much, why don't you help out and use your mad l33t search skillz? I guess it's too much to ask and it going out of you way.

That's cool and not everyone is like you.

So I guess your kids never ask you anything twice eh?

Mod, you can go ahead and locked this thread. It's getting off topic and I'll find my answers elsewhere but I thank those of you who could answer

Why am I getting attacked here.

Im sorry if you all think you know what you are talking about, but as a mod in training, I can tell you that a forum would be pretty cluttered and cumbersome if the same shit was posted over and over again.

And as far as a comment like

or get like 250 useless results ....
Why do you think that happens????? Maybe it's because the same stuff is asked over and over again.....

Bro ... I'm with you ... Every time I ask a person a question on this board I get so many sarcastic answers. It's no wonder half of them have like 10,000 posts.

And for the record, NAV all the way. You'll thank yourself

Dude, I'm not coming down on YOU per se, but the sarcasm of the regulars around here who just just snap at people is getting a tad outta hand. I mean, we're all buddies so to speak. Why can't people sorta act like it?

I mean, what if I don't wanna search. Maybe there are some new developments on an issue? Maybe new people have something to say??

C'mon, man ... ain't bandwith cheap now? Let's use it?

One last thing on NAV!!! Hey, sorry, last minute point on the nav, which is my favorite feature..

you can tell the car to turn up or turn down the A/C, tune the radio, etc. It's rad!!! It's like being on the Starship Enterprise and be like "Computer, set environmental controls to 27 degrees centigrade"

I originally was not planning on buying the Navi when I was looking at the TSX because I use it as a daily commuter. But they only had the TSX with my color and transmission preference with Navi. In retrospect I know I would have regretted not getting the Navi because I love the voice commands, the Advanced Trip Computer and being able to search for restaurants and get their phone number to make reservations on route.

Probably cheaper to do the conversion. Unless you trade your 05 for an 04, then it won't be so bad. Probably still take a hit though.

Probably, possiblly but IMO, ONLY IF you're so skilled to do the job entirely by yourself and if your time is worth

Before Navi was invented, I refused to stop and ask for directions cause I'm a man and I always know where I am and I'm never lost. Ask my wife and she'll confirm this in her own distorted sort of way.

Now that Navi is available, I didn't get it in our TSX, I don't regret it for one second, and I wouldn't get it now even at half the going price. I just never get lost and I always know where I am, and I can find a better way when I have to on my own.

driving a non-navi since friday. I miss my navi. Knowing the streets - $2000. Knowing my milage left on empty - Included. Showing chicks the eight satellites following my car and being able to change the color of my screens on a whim - priceless.

I think Navi is great, but everyone has to make a decision based on their own individual (counting couples as as unit) need. For some, me included, Navi is not needed and would not be used. I live and work downtown so I walk to work (which is great) and every where else during the week. I probably at most put 700-800 miles on my car a month. On the weekends I will often go to the mountains and I have understood that Navi is not that great on rural roads. Possibly it is better now, but still there are not that many roads in the Rocky Mountains and I know almost all of the ones that I would need.

I instead decided to spend my $2000 on a-spec suspension and bodykit. To each their own I say.

This is a decision that we each will have to live with so only you can ultimately make the decision Navi or non-Navi. I would say go for it if you have the $ and will use it.

I have never driven a car equiped with a Nav, but by nature I am biased towards a standalone unit -- and this one is currently at the top of my list.

http://www.tigergps.com/gastc3augpss.html

It is available for under $600.00. I can dump it in a couple of years (or sell it for $300.00) when it is surpassed by newer technology. It does not require a DVD in the car, has no hard disk to fail, and can be removed from the car for route planning. Naturally, it can be used in multiple vehicles.

Updates, I imagine, will be available much more frequently than with the Acura Nav -- and cost less than half as much. Since I don't drive all over the US (I am not a trucker), I have no need for maps of all the states online at all times. There are many states (over half of them) that I have never visited and never will visit.

Thus far, there seems to be a good match between the features offered and the features desired -- at least from my viewpoint.

That would be an insane price especially since they just increased the invoice price! When you say made a bid, do you mean put a deposit? Which ultimately means you just purchased the car for that price?
