Navi screen bug?

Ok, after breakfast at a local restaurant sunday morning, I started up the car, instead navi screen showing the liability prompt, it gives me a "enter the code".
So, now I can't access my navi screen or cd/radio screen. Is this a bug or did I somehow activate the PIN code?

After reading the user manual, it seems like the PIN function is ONLY for changing/accessing the address book. Can some who uses the PIN function confirm this?
The manual also said that if I forget my PIN (which somehow got activated?) that I need to goto the dealer to have them reset it. Does anyone know how much this would cost?
it kind of sucks not being able to use the navi screen now. I never knew how much I was dependent on it until I can't use it! Thanks guys!!

It could also be asking for the radio code. The security feature that keeps people from sealing your radio. It is the same code that appears if you disconnect the battery. I find it somewhat strange that it just appeared, but you should find the code in the documents when you purchased the car (they put a sticker of mine in the glove box). I hope that helps.

This has happened to me before as well. If I remember correctly, there was a thread that talked about how it was happening to people...it would show up even though the battery hasn't been disconnected.

One definite bug that I discovered on my way to vegas is that if you ask to see the "Directions" screen and then you decide to not follow it, the navi will freeze once you miss the exit, and it won't reboot/restart until about 45 minutes later

I had that happen only once about a month after I got the car. Thankfully, the navi code was written in the manual. Fine ever since.

Happened to me yesterday after work, actually (2006 CGP). I think it happened once several months ago as well. Since then, I wrote it down and keep it in the car. I found out that they actually wrote it in my Maintenance Manual as well.

No idea why it happens, I didn't do anything different.
