Allright, this is the closest I can find to proof, so anyone feel free to prove me wrong. It is an article about FOX networks sports dominance (dated Jan 7, 2004). The last article gives ratings for Football, Post-Season baseball, and Nascar. Looks like Nascar is last:
While FOX Sports' NASCAR and NFL coverage performed well, much of the network's ratings improvement in 2003 can be traced to the remarkable performance of postseason MLB, the highest-rated since 1995. FOX' 24 postseason broadcasts averaged a 10.5/18 rating (up +28% over last year's 8.2/14), and attracted an average audience of 16.3 million (up +28% over last year's 12.8 million). The third season of NASCAR on FOX posted a 5.8 household rating, even with 2002, while the NFL on FOX in 2003 finished at 10.3, virtually flat with a year ago (10.5).
