my first ding on my tsx. suckage.

so i must have some real bad luck. no pics since well, you wouldnt be able to see anything at all. i am not sure how you take it but when i have a car , after the first ding which is inevitable it because just a car again.

anyway my roomate was moving my 7 week old 2005 ssm tsx because our parking is stacked. anyhow due to the rather crappy way the garage door motor is setup at our apartment, a little metal box from it fell off while my car was parked under it!

so i come downstairs after he tells me about it, and you can see like 3 clear coat scratches. i use rubbing compound and meguirs clearcoat scratch removed goo and get them out. paint amazgingly undamaged and clearcoat is shiny etc.

but i guess the box's corner left a little dent that you can feel with your hand and see if you look at the roof just at the right angle as in a very very narrow angle. i suppose i cant actually see it but i know its there! the dent is like.. well more like a random dimple, like maybe 1mm x 1mm. but seriously wtf what a way to damage a car.

i was being super super careful with the tsx too, my last car (g35 coupe which i deemed cursed and would soon cause my death) the last among many things that happened to it was a truck backed into it while it was parked in my works parking lot and just drove off as one of its random mishaps (some my fault, but that last one was just horrible bad luck). at lesat the tsx didnt have anything major like that happen to it but well its only been 7 weeks. sigh oh well it has a ding now its officially not new.

Sorry to hear about that hans007. I had a similar experience. The stupid plastic garage door opener light cover fell off and dented my top chrome trim on the driver's side door. Luckily the trim was replaceable. There is a scratch on the paint too but it isn't too noticeable and I've learned to live with it.

The first ding is always the most painful. After that, though, you just accept the fact that the car is no longer perfect and it's easier to deal with from that point on.

I had some very complex dents taken out by Dent Wizard. I was SHOCKED at how well it turned out. Evidently they go through some intense training.

Damn garage doors! I backed in to one while reversing out and it dinged the curve on the trunk lid just above the A logo. It is very small, but man did that hurt! So for the HIN show I just left the trunk lid partially up so you could see the stereo and no one saw the dent
