My final 3 Wheel options

I figure i'm going to treat myself to a bday present in august and get a set of one of these wheels. All forged and 13.5lbs or less. Give me some opinions

SSR Comp Silver

Velox PG-5s

Centerline RPM

Centerline....even though I hate wheels with an even number of spokes.

Tinky, see if you can pick up the latest ed of Sport Compact Car. They have an article about new wheels with about 20 pages of pics. Each pic of the wheels gives available sizes and weight so its easy to choose.

If you want me to scan some in, no prob, let me know, although I may not have time to scan all 20 or so pages tonight.

Yeah domn i actually checked that out. Their selection of light weight 17" wheels sucked though I suppose i should actually put one more wheel in this list, but it's not forged and weighs ~ 16lbs. Rota subzero silver with polished lip.

They look very similar to the stock jdm/european wheels and only cost about 500/set

Also FYI tsx stock wheels weight ~21.5 lbs and stock tires weigh 26. By going to a lighter wheel and some light tires one could save 8-13lbs per corner no problem.

Those are nice but I never really liked the indented wheel look. I personally kinda like when the inner part of the wheel is flush with the outside part. But these wheels are nicer than the both the SSR's and Velox's though.

Volk has some awesome wheels, have you looked at Volk and how much are they in the US?

A LOT! I'm trying to get Volk GTCs to put some summer tires on...they're very expensive. I'll probably be waiting until next summer before I even have the money!

Tink...at least if you get the Centerline , it is a well know quality product, it's forged too. Good call on the Centerlines I think...and ya won't see shitloads of them on TSX's!!!

Centerline looks pretty sweet. I"m planning to get CG TSX, and most likely getting gun metal wheels. I just think they match so well. The CG car and gun metal rims, they will compliment each other.....I believe. What color is your car?

My Vote: centerline, if you got the CG then go for the velox. But I think they velox is too much of a racing wheel, it will take away the beauty and class of the car and make it look more like a race car.

I've got a CG -- I've been leaning towards somethign in siliver...i dunno if there will be enough contrast with CG and a gunmetal rim.

BTW the centerlines + ssrs come in gunmetal as well

yeah a gun metal rim would not look good. You would have to go with a shinier rim. I definately like the centerlines

SSRs, then the centerlines. I believe the SSRs are lighter. I also think they look better.

What color are the Acura OEM 5 star rims? Aren't they sort of grey/gun metal?

They're gunmetal (the car I test drove was equipped with them). Not quite the same color as CG, though.

The Velox PG-5 is pretty sweet, I think it would look cool on CG. But the silver Comps would look nice too. I don't really like the spoke design on the centerlines.
