Yeah, I read that pondered posting it here, but decided that it was just one bad experience. If there becomes an epidemic of these, then we really have some news.
But still, it sucks to be this guy. If you blow that much money on a nice car, the dealer should really be more responsible with it.

I have no idea if it is true or not BUT the thing that tosses up the red flag to me is he waited days in a hotel room before calling the dealer to see what was going on. Agreed one was Sunday but most dealerships are open on Saturday. If nothing else I think most people would want to tell the service advisor in person what the issues were. Further based on the story they would not have had his hotel number, and he had already mentioned he had some cell phone issues. I just can't see not giving them a call with his hotel number. In the end I think it could be true but all the facts are likely not there.
In the end you are hard pressed to get warranty service after the end of the period from anyone. Assuming the micrometer reading was correct (he did not dispute it) it was not due for new pads/rotors at the time. I did get a warranty coverage on my E36 M3 after 50k but had reported a intermittent problem prior to the warranty running out and they were able to reproduce it later, but I made a big issue of the warranty date/milage since I (and I think most other people are acutely aware of this). BMW dealerships do vary from great to terrible and there seems to be more variation than most other marque brands. Unfortunately ,until the public quits leading BMW to new sales heights each year and magazines foam at the mouth for the "Ulitimate Driving Machine" it is unlikely there will be a serious change. Lexus lead the way to excellent service and Infiniti followed, they did it initially because they HAD to in order to develop a following and it has helped them become a treu luxury make.

So this clown can supposedly afford an M3, but he can't tell the difference between "brakes" and "breaks"? What a luser. :P I bet he was fired for using the wrong cover sheets on his TPS reports.
