MPG @ 1000 miles
According to the trip computer, I am averaging 26.8 mpg. I have driven 214 miles and estimates I have another 120 miles to go.
This is about 1/2 city & 1/2 highway. But I live in Durham, NC, where they seem to have ignored the concept of street lights.
Another explanation is that I haven't revved past 3500 yet.
How is everyone else's mpg? BTW, 5-sp auto.

I drove about 800 miles last weekend and got 33mpg setting the cruise at 65. I have about 2200 miles on my TSX. I get about 21-23 in city driving. Anyone use ethanol? I've been putting premium in but did try one tank of 89 octane ethanol. I did not check my mpg for that tankful.

The trip computer on the Navi screen displays a very sophisticated-looking mpg meter that spans (horizontally) the screen. It literally puts such indicators found in BMWs to shame. Really wish I had a pic.

well... i put super unleaded 91 octane. i feel the difference with different brand of gas. Shell and 76 gas will make your car react slower, less pwr. if you put 89 octane Chevron and Mobil.. it is like 91 octane.. so i use 87 or 89 is ok. almost the same pwr at Chevron...
gas is at 2.60 a gallon for superunleaded.
my avg is 25-27 depends on my driving.

I have 14k miles on mine and average about 28mpg (5AT). On the road I get 30+, even through the mountains. Not bad for 200hp, automatic, >3200lbs, and a heavy right foot.
After the break in period your MPG should get better.

So does high RPM not significantly diminish MPG? Is this anther advantage of i-VTEC?

The EPA mileage estimates are a bunch of 
. Even though the 6MT EPA mileage is 29 and the AT is 32, I think 6MT drivers almost universally get better mileage than their AT counterparts. With my 6MT, in highway driving I get 31-33 MPG, and in highway/city mixed I get 27-30 MPG, and I redline about twice a day. Sauceman gets 36+ MPG with his 6MT.

for those without navi, are you guys calculating MPG based on US Gallons or British Gallons?
23MPG, 20MPG, 21MPG respectively for ALL CITY driving (there's no real freeways/highways here) , 5AT with 1400KMS

Have about 1700 on my 2004 6 MT and best milage thus far is 29.6 on a 214 mile jaunt into the rain forest- moderate driving on various kinds of roads- 35 - 50 mph on the two-lane twisties and about four three minute 8-85 mph bits on the freeway...I'm hoping it improves (as so many older owners have noted) as I accumulate more miles...

Killer mileage!!!
On trips to Denver from the West Slope of Colorado I was getting to my surprise 33 - 34 mpg according to the trip computer mode of my Navi. I did not beleive this so I checked it manually. Confirmed. I put in Mobil 1 in a while back and on my last trip to Denver I got 37 mpg. Again confirmed. Keep in mind I am not not being gentle with this car and I am also driving up some steep grades to get to Denver. (Vail pass) I drop a gear or two when going up the passes. Could not be more pleased with this car. PS I was very anal when I broke in my car. By far the best car I have owned!

Just had my 4th fill-up and I've been getting 20,21,20,21 respectively. I calculate mileage from trip meter on dash and gallons used to fill-up. I do mainly 50/50 city highways and letter leave my car idle or in park for long...

On my very 1st tank of gas, I got 19 mpg, and have been averaging 16-18mpg ever since. The best mileage I got was on a trip to Milwaukee...mixed in with some city driving (24 mpg)
I'm still at only 1,400 miles, but damn, i've filled up my car so many times since I bought it in October. Hope it improves to the Acura's estimate of 23 mpg soon...

Can't seem to get under 26 MPG
I've got just over 5,000 miles and since I've bought my TSX I've not gotten anything lower than 26 MPG and that's driving mostly city and with a lead foot.
Normal day-to-day driving (60% freeway, 40% city) I get about 28 MPG. My trip this weekend to Los Angeles from San Diego netted 33 MPG (but it was raining and I was forced to go no faster than 65 MPH). Normal all-freeway driving (I usually drive 75 MPH or more) will net me about 30. I'm very pleased at the mileage and can't believe anyone gets under 20 ever.

You're all so lucky, I average about 18mpg. Im driving around 75% City 25% highway, and have about 6000miles on the odo. I use to get around 26 - 30mpg during the summer, but since winter hit, its been downhill.
I remember reading somewhere that gas stations switch to a different formula during winter. Dunno if its true. It could also be the ECU having to learn new values for winter.

My 04 is just over 5000 miles.
Filled the tank the other day and drove about 60 miles highway .... the trip meter registered an average of 35.8 mpg. It was difficult, however, as I had to restrain myself at 70 mph.

I am finding myself around the 26-27 range with suburban area driving. Guess it's decent, but the problem is I feel some of Honda's V6's can do this so ...
