Mods and Vehicle Warrenty

Hey....still new with this so forgive me if this is a repeat question. I plan on getting a TSX in August and thinking of doing some mods when I get it.....by doing so, does that void any of the warrenty or does it just depend on what you do to it.

Insight is appreciated.

Search...

In short, the most that can happen is if there is a failure or issue with a part specifically linked to the modified part, it could void the warrant if Acura can prove the mod. contributed to the failure.

The one mod that I can think that would have the most potential contraversy associated to it would be the Hondata mod. which is documented on their site as well.

This has been covered 1,000,001 times

they can't deny you warranty unless they prove the aftermarket part cause the specific problem that needs to be fixed. So if you have an CAI, and your stereo dies, they still have to fix it, but if you have a CAI and you hydrolock, your fucked...

I guess my next question is -- what do you all think would be the best mods to make that would have the least likelyhood of affecting the warranty -- if I'm looking for increased power and get a ittle crisper handling?

Seriously, all jokes aside. Go into the Parts & Performance section and look around. These questions come up weekly. You'll find your answers and avoid smart ass remarks like what you've seen so far.

And welcome to the site.
