MID calculate avg speed???

I Quit
Heres my best guess: Yes it calculates even when you're stopped and the engine is running, but it seems to be a bit slow, I can be on the hwy cruising at about 55 - 60 mph for 20 minutes and it still says my average is 24 - 35 mph during the 10 minutes of city driving to get on the hwy. So, I never pay any attention to it, I just have my MID display my instant mpg and avg mpg

it's probably (total distance traveled) / (total time engine was running)
Since, driving time resets and starts counting when you start the engine, my guess is that it will also count when you are stopped.

I don't do much highway driving at school and the most I can go is like 40 overe here... my average speed is usually like 9-12 mph so it defintley calculates when the car is idling and registers a repeated zero-mph figure
