Maintenance Required Light
I don't have the manual with me so I just wanted to know if anyone could let me know what it is when I turn on my car and the maint req light flashes 5 or so times then goes off. I'm at 8,500 miles so will it keep on flashing till I hit 10k miles and get my car serviced?

I read it no later than yesterday, yet I'm already forgetting.
I think a flashing light means it's related to an anti-pollution device. You can drive it, but get it checked ASAP, as you can further damage other anti-pollution parts.
I need to check it again tomorrow.

PixelHarmony that's your maintenance light not your CEL like you put in the thread topic. And yes it'll keep flashing until 10k when it'll stay on. Your manual will tell you how to turn it off if you don't want service.

Damn I forgot to fix the topic. I guess I'll just let it bug me until I get my car serviced. BTW what are the costs of getting your car serviced at the dealer?

My services are just oil changes --> 28 bucks.
I went about the 10K service and they wanted 85 bucks for oil, tire rotation, and brake check.
Since I have aftermarket wheels and don't want them back all scratched and knicked up, tire rotation is out, and I have an aftermarket brake set-up, so I take care of it elsewhere.
Acuras prices are through the roof on some stuff.
Either way, your service manual should state what should be done.
