Made a huge mistake (traded in the TSX)

I am not sure why or what came over me, but I traded in my beloved '04 TSX.
I am also quite ashamed to say what I traded it in on, I knew it was a mistake the second I drove the new car off.

How many months should I wait before I try to buy another TSX (trade in the new car).

Thanks...

Well, I bought a new house and I was doing some remodeling and I got sick of trying to haul stuff in the TSX. I bought a '04 Ford F150. Nice truck, but it was a bad decision.

Thanks...

I'm confused. Did you test drive the new car before you sealed the deal?

Yeah, I did test drive and I got caught up in the whole "new car".
What can I say, I made a bad decision that will take a while to recover from.

Constantly trading in cars will result big cash loss. But, to answer your question...If you want to get the TSX, you should trade in the F150 ASAP.

Hey look at it this way dude, finish remodeling your house, and then drive that F-150 to your nearest Acura dealer. Only, go for an RL this time.

Looks like the KBB value is around 20K on a trade in. What did you pay?

I paid 21 for the truck, got an incredible deal on the 04.

The truck stickered for about 29, so I got about 8K off with all incentives applied.

So maybe you can get 20K for it and not loose too much on the truck.

My thoughts, finish working on your house, then trade the truck in for the new TSX. The TSX can't haul much so get the most utility out of the truck. In the end, you'll lose money, but you'll have gotten the use out of the truck.

Yeah, but he may get close to what he paid on the truck in a trade in. Use it and the fact that it's a Ford could mean 1/2 the trade in value.

It's a nice truck. So did you get cash back on the deal or use the difference for tax, etc????

hahahah I cant believe people like you exist! WOW!

Impulse a car and trade it???

I dont think you should try to buy the TSX again...because if you traded it that fast then you wont be TRUELY HAPPY with it. Go for something that makes you happy...and stick with it for 10 or so years.

Did you forget the TSX has fold down rear seats?

You would have to fold down the fronts to get the same hauling space as the F150. Makes it a little tough to drive it though....

the f-150 won motor trends truck of the year award, or something along those lines. it cant be all that bad, unless you just prefer the characteristics of a sedan over a truck.

And they sold 912,000 units in 2004.

Still can't figure how you go from a TSX to an F-150 though.

I like the looks of the previous gen f150 a lot better than the current. In fact, I test drove and almost bought a ford lightning... the power was great. But i'm very glad the speed bug didn't get me and I went with the "slow" tsx!

Wow! Talk about a mistake... I have a family friend who did the same thing, went from a sedan (don't recall the model) to an F-150. After 1+ yrs driving the truck around, he bought a Ford Thunderbird. Says he likes it, but I found it awful as well.

Impulse buying on a car should be considered a disease. It's so expensive!!
